Here's the deal… Trump jumped on stage during his victory rally on Sunday – one of the many events celebrating his election victory over the weekend before the official inauguration on Monday.
During the speech, Trump talked about TikTok … and mentioned how he used the app to win the 2024 election – and claimed it helped him win the youth vote. Trump won over more voters in the 18- to 29-year-old age group – and he even received more votes from 18- to 29-year-olds than men Kamala Harris.
Trump says his administration has no choice but to bail out TikTok to save so many people's jobs… and that's exactly what he's doing by forcing co-ownership of the company on ByteDance.

But while Donald Trump and some online users are praising him as the savior of the popular social media app, many people are calling the about-face a total PR move
Check out some of the comments… The main argument is that the ban took virtually no time – and many point to Trump's close relationship with TikTok's CEO Shou Zi Chew, as further proof of who will attend the inauguration.
And many point out that Trump originally pushed to ban the app in 2020… and has now made a drastic about-face.
As you know…TikTok temporarily went offline – but when Trump promised extend the moratorium On Monday, the app changed course with an executive order. American users can currently post videos to the site.
