Donald TrumpPlans for his second term are out of this world… as the returning commander-in-chief announces a new mission to Mars in his inaugural speech.
Check it out…as Trump addresses the nation at the US Capitol on Monday, he declares his goal of planting a US flag on the fourth planet from the sun…to again be seen as a “growing Nation” to be perceived.
He adds… “We will pursue our manifest destiny in the stars and send American astronauts to plant the Stars and Stripes on the planet Mars.”
Trump's statement was met with an enthusiastic response from the crowd in the Capitol Rotunda…particularly Elon Musk – the new co-head of the Ministry of Government Efficiency – who gave two thumbs up and an enthusiastic smile at the proclamation.
If Trump's Mars mission comes to fruition, it will be a historic mission for space travel… given that only robotic landers and rovers have landed on Mars so far.

It seems Trump wants his own John F Kennedy moment in his second term…when JFK famously advocated sending astronauts to the moon during his presidency.
However, the 35th POTUS never saw his dream realized…he was assassinated in 1963, more than five years earlier Neil Armstrong made a huge leap for humanity.
However, we are still trying to get two astronauts stuck in space Home page…so maybe let's wait and see if this Mars mission actually happens.
