The organizers of the Dubai Open have shared a statement after the 'stalker' test of Emma Raducanu who saw the former British No1 in visible anguish as a man who showed 'fixed behavior' was escorted from his second round party.
Raducanu found only two games to Karolina Muchava on Tuesday night, when the game stopped with former United States Open champion in tears, before quickly discussing the problem with referee Miriam Bley, who was seen communicating with the Tournament organizers outside the court through its Walkie-Sonora film.
The 21 -year -old hid behind the referee's chair and had to be comforted by Bley and her opponent very, before the game could resume.
The WTA confirmed that a man had previously approached Raducanu in his first round match against Maria Sakkari, adding a statement that the governing body was working with the player to guarantee his safety.
Man has been forbidden from WTA events.
But the organizers were eager to also share their support for the player, whose eventual defeat in the sets of the former 10 -year Top star may have been promoted by the distressing incident.

“We fully support the statement made today by the WTA regarding an incident that involves Emma Raducanu on February 17,” said his statement.
'The tournament's security team worked in collaboration with the WTA security team to proactively and immediately identify the individual in a matter of the stadium during the Second Round match of Emma on Tuesday.
'We support the WTA decision to prohibit the individual in a matter of all WTA events and share the long commitment of the tour with the welfare, security and well -being of the tour.
“We thank Emma for her contribution to this year's tournament, and we hope to welcome him next year.”
Raducanu has been previously attacked by the unwanted and worrying care of obsessive fans, seeing a five -year prohibition delivered to a stalker who walked 23 miles to his family home in the late 2021.
Amrit Magar, 35, was convicted in early 2022 after being convicted of sending love notes, visiting Raducanu's house on three separate occasions and stealing a shoe he believed belonged to the 19 -year -old player.
Raducanu then admitted in a statement shared with the Court that the experience had left it “constantly looking over his shoulder” and feeling that his “freedom had been removed.”
The player had previously been looking for his losing streak after a safe defeat of Sakkari in the first round.
Raducanu had previously lost three parties in a row, having not spent the first round in the Abu Dhabi Open and the Qatar open after his departure from the Australian Open last month.
