Wrexham has confirmed that midfielder Elliot Lee was taken to the hospital after a car accident after his match against Bolton on Tuesday night.
“Wrexham AFC can confirm that last night, after the VERTU trophy match against Bolton Wanderers, a player of the first team (Elliot Lee) was involved in a traffic incident when he returned home,” he reads in a statement.
'The incident involved another car and turned out that the drivers of both cars were taken to the hospital. Emergency services were quickly on the scene and the club wishes to thank them for their prompt response and action.
'The player did not suffer important injuries, while the driver of the other vehicle is being treated for his injuries.
“The club will not comment at this stage.”
