CEO of Tesla and SpaceX Elon Musk attended the presidential inauguration Donald Trump Monday morning…and seemed preoccupied with the room's ornate interior design.
Musk seemed fascinated by the museum-like furnishings of the Capitol Rotunda with its huge paintings and the elaborate architecture, including on the ceilings. He shook hands with a few people, then let his gaze wander around the room with wide eyes, taking in everything.
The event was held in the Rotunda, which seats about 600 people, after freezing temperatures forced the event to normally be held outdoors, i.e. indoors.
Musk will be joined by other technology moguls including Jeff Bezos And Mark Zuckerbergfrom Amazon or Meta.
Former Presidents Barack Obama, George W BushAnd Bill Clinton were in the room…and other notable celebs were in attendance, including Dana White, Joe RoganAnd Jake And Logan Paul.
Elon supported Trump in the presidential election and invested $250 million in his campaign before the November election. He was appointed by Trump to co-chair the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) alongside the entrepreneur and former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy.
Trump begins his nonconsecutive second term as president today, only the second man to do so in U.S. history.
