Elon Musk's stance on owning a Premier League club was revealed in a previous tweet that went viral after he was sensationally linked to Liverpool.
Musk's father claimed the billionaire tycoon is interested in spending money at Anfield, although the Reds hierarchy have not received any official contact.
With an estimated value of £340 billion, any investment from Musk would be a mere drop in the ocean, and he named one club he most wanted to invest in in 2022.
The posts, which have since resurfaced following the shocking Merseyside takeover rumours, also shed light on whether their interest should be taken seriously.
“Also, welcome to Manchester United,” Musk tweeted.
One account, seeking to gauge whether Musk was joking, responded: “Are you serious?”

Musk has been linked with a shock acquisition in Liverpool after his father's comments.
In tweets from 2022, Musk said he would buy Manchester United before backing down
Musk later clarified and said, “No, this is a long-running joke on Twitter.” I will not buy any sports equipment. Although, if it were any team, it would be Man U.
“They were my favorite team when I was a kid.”
As reported by sport mailLiverpool's owners have no intention of selling the club regardless of any possible concrete interest from Musk.
In an explosive interview, Musk's father Errol confirmed that the businessman could try to add the club to a portfolio that also includes SpaceX, Tesla and X.
“I can't comment on that, they will raise the price,” Errol told Times Radio.
When asked if there was really interest, Errol replied: 'Oh yes. But that doesn't mean he's believing it. He would like it so, obviously.
“Anyone would want to do it… me too.”
But Liverpool insiders are understood to have downplayed the prospect and owners Fenway Sports Group are not currently interested in a sale.

In May, the club was valued as the fourth most valuable in the world, at £4.3bn. However, such an outlay would represent just over one percent of Musk's total net worth.
When asked why Musk is specifically interested in Liverpool, his father revealed that his family has ties to the city dating back several decades.
“His grandmother was born in Liverpool and we had relatives in Liverpool, and we were lucky enough to know the Beatles quite a bit because they grew up with some of my family. So we're linked to Liverpool, you know?” Errol added.
FSG bought Liverpool for just £300m in 2010 and have shown no signs of moving on despite facing criticism from fans for a perceived lack of big transfer spending.
