Erling Haaland declared his confidence that Manchester City will defeat the Premier League in their historic hearing into financial irregularities after signing a nine-year mega contract.
City are in Paris to take on the Ligue 1 giants on Wednesday and need at least one win in their remaining two Champions League group matches to advance to next month's playoff round.
Pep Guardiola's side are now unbeaten in six games in all competitions and look more optimistic after Haaland dedicated the majority of his career to them.
Haaland insisted the charges hanging over the Premier League champions – with the harshest punishment available being relegation from the top flight – had not crossed his mind before drafting new conditions amounting to a basic salary of around £500,000 a week.
“I'm sure the club knows what it's doing,” Haaland said. 'I haven't thought about that or anything. I have confidence in them.
'In the end, I don't really think I should talk too much about this because I've (only) been here two and a half years, but I trust the club knows what it's doing.'

Haaland has committed to the next nine years with City by signing a new £500,000-a-week deal.
Manchester City are now unbeaten in six games in all competitions after thrashing Ipswich 6-0.
City are pushing ahead with a £300m redevelopment of the Etihad Stadium and have so far spent £62m on two new centre-backs: Lens' Abdukodir Khusanov and Palmeiras teenager Vitor Reis, who are training with the team but are not eligible for the draw against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.
They will be joined by Egyptian Omar Marmoush for more than £60m after the striker completed his medical before sealing his transfer from Eintracht Frankfurt on Tuesday.
A central midfielder remains a position to strengthen, with Douglas Luiz at Juventus interested in a temporary move. Kyle Walker is finalizing a loan move to AC Milan, with City keeping an eye on Juve full-back Andrea Cambiaso.
Marmoush will lighten the scoring load of Haaland, who admitted his surprise at the length of the contract that City offered him.
“It's a very good sign,” Haaland added. Of course it's a bit unusual. It's not normal. That's also something I like. In the end it felt good for both parties. It was an easy choice.
“When I signed for City I felt at home. I really meant it. I feel very happy, my family is very happy. In the end that's what I wanted.
'The people I spoke to convinced me that this was the right choice. I'm looking forward to spending many more years in Manchester, it will be amazing.
“I feel a really positive energy in the club. It has been a difficult time, everyone knows it. We have trained very well, we have already overcome it and we are looking forward.”

Guardiola will be without Jeremy Doku and Nathan Ake in Paris, but has welcomed John Stones after the defender played just 45 minutes in the last two months.
New faces should reinvigorate City, who will now face the other five in the top six (plus crucial European games) over the next month and a half.
“Now comes the toughest moment of the season in terms of rivals,” Guardiola said. 'If you look at the calendar, you'll say, “WOW! What are we going to play?! But the challenge is there and we will do it.”
Meanwhile, Rodri, out this season with a knee injury, traveled with City to the French capital while he reintegrates into the group.
