The Internet is taking potshots at ESPN after the network didn't show the national anthem or a moment of silence during the main Sugar Bowl broadcast … after a terrorist attack in New Orleans delayed the crucial football game.
People online are outraged by ESPN's decision to show studio analysts a breakdown of the College Football Playoff quarterfinal game between Notre Dame and Georgia instead of an in-stadium tribute to the victims of Wednesday's terrorist attack in the city.
Thursday's Sugar Bowl was played at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans…near the terrorist site Shamsud Din Jabbar mowed down New Year's Eve revelers in a pickup truck.

A knowledgeable source told TMZ … SportsCenter completed an interview with Tim Tebow – and cut to commercial as the anthem and minute's silence began. SportsCenter resumed the broadcast in the middle of the moment of silence – making it difficult to intervene at the time.
ESPN declined to comment on the pushback.
