Ex-man United Star defends the Glazers and says they have the right to “direct the club in any way they want” while fans plan to protest arsenal tie

The former Manchester United star, Tim Howard, has defended the unpopular owners of the club, the Glazer family.

Glazers have caused numerous protests over the years as a result of their administration in the club, and most fans criticize the way in which the Red Devils have been directed.

The shock of Sunday's Premier League against Arsenal, for example, will see the 1958 protest group against the Glazers for leading United to the edge of the 'Financial Armageddon'.

The group urges fans to use black to symbolize their club “die slowly” and join the protest that will begin in the Tollgate pub at 3 pm and move through Talbot Road, Warwick Road and Sir Matt Busby Way before stopping in the Trinity statue and continuing through the Munich tunnel.

It comes with the club in 14th and in progress for a historically poor Premier League campaign for a team that has won the trophy more times than any other.

However, with many fans who attribute great portions of guilt to their American partners, Howard has defended the decisions made by the Glazers.

“I think they have spent money for the united man in certain places and, ultimately, the criticisms of the property of fans in any club, but in Manchester United it is often unilateral,” said the former USMNT goalkeeper.

'The Glazers have the football club, and that in turn is a business. And what I have always said, because I own, when you spend billions to own a business, you have the right to execute it in the way you want.

“Now, that will ultimately be a good business or a bad business with security, but you have the right to execute it in the way you want, and together with that the criticism comes, but they all understand it. I think they have spent, and you can take another step and look at other clubs.

'Everton is a disaster, and not because they have not spent, but because they spent a lot of money. In fact, so much that they had docked points due to the PSR, so I think that the Glazers are spending money.

'When you look at the team and the amount of money that was paid for the tastes of (Jadon) Sancho and (Cristiano) Ronaldo, all these players, the money was spent. Was he spent wisely? I am not sure that the Glazers make those decisions, so there are other parts of that question that must be answered.

Howard spent four years in Old Trafford's books between 2003 and 2007, and was part of the FA Cup and the Cup Cup Cup Cup during that period.

The American joined Everton, where he would become a legend of the club with 414 games and a notable goal.

The Red Devils face Arsenal on Sunday at a time when issues in the field have rarely been worse.

While the Gunners do not have a striker, with Gabriel Jesús and Kai Hvertz for the season, they put seven PSV Eindhoven beyond half of the week.

With confidence at a low national level, there may be more pressure in the crash of the Europa League on Thursday with the true society, especially with the only real possibility of the continental qualification of the competition for the next period.

Like the gunners, but for different reasons, United has its own problems in advance, with Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee fighting for the form.

The Red Devils had promoted Chido OBI to the senior team and handed over their first minutes in recent weeks, although they will not be available for the clash against the Real.
