Where did she get the money to send? Oh, just her divorce settlement after she swapped her millionaire husband for her fake movie star boo, according to the French broadcaster BFM TV.
Fake Brad told her that he couldn't use his own money because he was going through a divorce Angelina Jolie – what was recently settled IRL.
Anne's argument with the fake Pitt began on Facebook, where the impostor initially posed as the actor's mother. A month later, “Pitt” himself intervened in her messages, sparking a whirlwind “romance” that included marriage proposals and pleas for her to ditch her millionaire husband.
There were warning signs from the start – she was only texting with the wrong Brad because he was “too busy” to call. But with the number of different romance scams on the rise, it's easy to see how many vulnerable people could fall for them.
She finally got it after seeing a picture of the real Brad Pitt with his current girlfriend. Ines de Ramon.
Anne filed a complaint in 2024 and has since been treated in a clinic for severe depression. The police have not yet located the fraudster.
