Fans Brand Man United

Fans have reacted to Manchester United's plans for a new stadium of 100,000 squares and £ 2 billion, whose plans have been revealed exclusively by Mail Sport.

The new Old Trafford will sit under a vast 'umbrella', complete with a public square twice the size of Trafalgar Square and his own version of Wembley Way in an impressive 'city of the future'.

The promise of a new stadium had been a key part of Sir Jim Ratcliffe's bet to become co -owner of the Red Devils, and after debate about how this can be handled, the club has now announced that they will continue with the new plans of 100,000 places.

However, the news has divided the opinion among fans on social networks, many of whom have pointed out the mass disbursement and how this could affect their current squad, which is also widely considered that it needs reinforcement.

“Spend money on good players, not on things that can't help you win,” wrote a fan in X.

“There is no money to buy players, but money for a new stadium, we are very cooked,” added another.

However, more fans were not completely convinced by the design representations that were launched on Tuesday.

Three giant towers, inspired by the Trident of the Red Devils, dominate the horizon and effectively support the 'Umbrella', a window of glass and steel that will keep dried fans inside and out of what would be the largest stadium in Great Britain.

However, while futuristic and modern in their intention, several fans may not have had the desired reaction, labeling it as a “circus.”

“FFS looks like a circus,” one wrote, with the emoji previous requirement of a great top.

'Is it a great tent? Another asked, while a third claimed that it looked like a 'palace'.

But comparisons with a circus continued to emerge while fans slowly reacted to the news on Tuesday morning.

“Welcome to the circus,” wrote a football fan, before another seems to send a chin to the co -owners of Glazer's unpopular family: “The Glazers really built a circus tent for the clown they are.”

A huge enveloping marker also appears, along with a three -story museum and restaurants on the side of the channel as part of a vast fan of fans in a project that Ratcliffe says that 'will preserve the essence of Old Trafford … while transforming the experience of fans only steps of our existing house'.

Man United has also proposedly proposed that the stadium, which would become the largest covered space in the world, will be completed within only five years.

More to follow.
