A bizarre angle from Bruno Fernandes' celebrations from Thursday night has resurfaced in which team-mate Rasmus Hojlund appears to push a Rangers coach.

Manchester United won it at the death after Cyriel's dessers had seemingly earned the visitors a point in the 88th minute, only for Fernandes to snatch all three in the added second minute.

It was a much-needed victory for an inconsistent and under-fire United, who were coming off the back of a 3-1 defeat by Brighton, and moves them up to fourth place in the Europa League standings.

However, there was a surprise moment that emerged during Fernandes' celebrations, when Hojlund appeared to push a member of the Rangers staff.

As the Portuguese midfielder turned the corner at Old Trafford to celebrate with fans, a man, believed to be a member of the visitors' coaching staff, bumped into Fernandes, apparently on his way through the tunnel.

Fernandes initially appears surprised before Hojlund arrives and shoves the man with one hand to his chest.

The man does not react but continues on his way through the celebrating group of United players, and it is not believed to have been any lingering tension from the incident.

Fans on social media were quick to pick up on Hojlund's response, although the alleged manager showed no signs of ill intent or aggression towards the United players.

One joked: “Hojlund's wrestling ability finally hits the clutch.”

Another wrote: “No way Bro barely showed any physicality on the field but he just pushed that physio like nothing.”

And a third added: “Why was he walking there? It's like he waited and then decided to walk when the players were celebrating.”

Meanwhile, a fourth appeared to disapprove of Hojlund's actions, writing: “0 goals in 16 games but he pushed an innocent man just trying to get to the tunnel, classy as always Rasmus.”

It ended a three-game run of positive results for the Scottish side, who had beaten St Johnstone, Aberdeen and Fraserburgh by an aggregate score of 11-1 in the previous 12 days.

Meanwhile, United will hope to use the positive result as a springboard into the weekend's clash with Fulham as they look to climb the table and return to the top half of the Premier League.

However, Ruben Amorim has provided a worrying injury update on two key defenders after both were dropped in Thursday's Europa League victory.

Defenders Leny Yoro and Matthijs de Ligt started the match at Amorim's preferred back-up alongside Lisandro Martínez, but had to be replaced as the match progressed.

Yoro was dropped from the starting side by Amorim after struggling against Southampton in his last appearance, while De Ligt maintained his run of starts but switched to playing at the heart of the back three.

Both had kept the Rangers attackers quiet all night and it was only when both had been hooked by Amorim that the Scottish visitors scored to threaten a potential comeback.

Confirming that Yoro and De Ligt had felt discomfort in their leg during the Europa League win, the United boss told TNT Sports: 'He (De Ligt) felt something in his leg.

'So does Leny (Yoro), so we can't risk anything. We have to win, but we have to protect the players and show that everyone is important right now.

De Ligt's retirement will be of major concern after the Dutchman was substituted at half-time and will now require further assessment ahead of the weekend's critical Premier League clash.
