- Gout Gout comfortably won the final of minors than 20 ms of 100m
- He slid down Brisbane's track, recorded an elegant 10.38
- Young Gun will also seek to claim the 200 m final on March 16
Teenage Sprinter Gout Gout has continued its brilliant shape after a heading on the head in the Queensland athletics championship in Brisbane.
Three months after breaking the Australian 200m record on the same track, the rising star warmed up for the Maurie plant meeting in Melbourne when claiming the state crown of less than 20 m on Saturday.
He revealed that he has been pointing to the meeting on March 29 for something special, so he is in the middle of a heavy training block.
Even so, the 17 -year -old registered 10.39 seconds in a slight wind against his heat before running 10.38 seconds in the final.
“It's one of the 10 best times in my career, so I couldn't be happier,” he said after the race.
Queensland Sprinter established a better one of the 10.04 seconds assisted by the wind in the Australian All Schools championship in Brisbane last year.
Its best legal time is 10.17, which places it in the selection framework for the World Championship in Japan in September.
Gout recently returned from a Florida training camp where he trained with the Olympic champion Noah Lyles and American coach Lance Brauman.

The profits that he achieved in that brief period were not so much physical.
He concentrated on adding psychological muscle to an already impressive mentality that has had to deal with an extraordinary public approach.
Although he is still in high school, he is competing against men, he has signed a long -term sponsorship agreement with the Adidas sportswear giant and faces huge expectations every time he competes.
The experience with Lyles exposed it to a character larger than life with a proven record to convert pressure into a star performance.
“I learned to be myself and follow my processes,” said Gout.
“You can do all the work of the world, but if you are in good mental form, you will be right.”
Gout's next goal will be his first 200 -meter race of the season in the Queensland championship in Brisbane on Sunday.
