Floyd Mayweather adds another gem to its already impressive property portfolio… TMZ Sports has learned that he has reached an agreement to purchase a prominent New York City building for over $20 MILLION.
We're told The Best Ever is snagging a corner apartment on 6th Avenue (and 47th Street) in Manhattan… a place where he used to go on extensive shopping sprees.
The property is located at 1196 6th Ave. and features offices, a diamond exchange… and even a large, income-generating billboard.
“As a young adult, I shopped at the diamond exchange,” Mayweather said in a statement. “I never thought I would own this important property at the entrance to 47th Street.”
“Through hard work and dedication, anything is possible,” he added.
Floyd, of course, is best known for his work in the ring… but in retirement, the boxing legend has become something of a real estate tycoon. You'll remember it was in October bought more than 60 buildings in NYC in a massive $402 million deal. In November, he also acquired a stake in the legendary Versace Mansion in Miami.
Floyd's latest NYC deal – a massive flex for the boxing star – was backed by Morris Betesh of Arrow Real Estate Advisors.
