Eagle-eyed fans believe a former NFL star and former Fox Sports employee hinted at allegations of workplace romance and alleged sexual harassment at his former employer weeks before they came to light.
Just days ago, an explosive lawsuit from former Fox stylist Noushin Faraji alleged that former FS1 host Skip Bayless offered her millions to have sex with him.
That lawsuit also included allegations that current 'Speak' host Joy Taylor slept with co-hosts and superiors.
In a video posted to his YouTube account on December 27, former FS1 personality Marcellus Wiley hinted that something was brewing at his former company.
Wiley hosted the show 'Speak For Yourself' from 2018 to 2022. The show was then renamed 'Speak', with Taylor taking over as main host.
On the show eleven days ago, Wiley was talking about sports reporters' use of anonymous sources (talking about the alleged feud between ESPN's Pat McAfee and Stephen A. Smith) and decided to give an example “that I've actually heard “.
In a video posted 11 days ago, former Fox Sports host Marcellus Wiley hinted that the network may have rotated its programming because behind-the-scenes 'romance' caused problems.
Days later, a lawsuit by a former Fox stylist alleging (among other things) that 'Speak' host Joy Taylor was involved in a love triangle with a co-host and a Fox executive was dismissed.
FS1 host Joy Taylor used sexual relationships with former NFL star co-host Emmanuel Acho (left) and network executive Charlie Dixon (right) to advance her career, according to Faraji's lawsuit.
'I have more stories from nameless, anonymous sources in my head right now than actual stories. TRUE. Because real stories happen in real time and they're real, they come and go,” Wiley said in the episode.
But the ones I have to save and use RAM on are these nameless, anonymous sources. Like this one, (is this) nonsense or is this real? Tell me what you think: Well, there was a lineup change on FS1 and it was motivated by romance. Everyone had to move because everything was getting a bit contentious, it was getting a bit flirty, it was getting a bit crazy.'
Wiley then asked his audience if it was “real or fake” before laughing and continuing: “Why would I report that, right?” … They are anonymous sources, anonymous sources, they don't want to be known and I don't know if it's real.
Because think about it: If that's true, was I in the building? No. Do I know the people? Yes. But do I know them well enough in their private moments to know this happened? No. Can I ask you? Yes. Would you deny it or accept it? Deny it.'
The lawsuit became public ten days after Wiley dismissed his example of an anonymously sourced story, and the former NFL star addressed it on his podcast.
In particular, Wiley spoke about the alleged love triangle between his former 'Speak' co-host Emmanuel Acho, Fox Sports executive Charlie Dixon and Taylor.
Joy Taylor (R) allegedly had a sexual relationship with Emmanuel Acho (L)
Wiley hinted on an episode of his show Monday that the 'love triangle' cost him his job at Fox
“I never heard of Charlie Dixon and Joy Taylor sleeping together,” Wiley said. 'But, hearing that, I'm not going to lie to you all. It makes a lot of things make sense. “This opens up a lot of things for me.”
The allegations about Dixon and Taylor have not been confirmed. But, speaking on his YouTube show on MondayWiley posed a hypothetical situation involving “an employee.”
Your former Fox colleague Jason Whitlock Claims Wiley Is Actually Talking About Himself.
“Here's an example of how things can get uglier,” Wiley explained. 'What would happen if an employee lost their job or their job was negatively influenced, bullied, moved, put in bad situations, off the grid?
'And was it because his boss was supposedly sleeping with another employee and his co-host was sleeping with the same employee?' said.
'And then that same employee – coincidentally – ends up replacing that individual. It's an example, of course, but imagine a child in a love triangle where the boss and a co-host sleep with the same person who ends up replacing that individual.
Wiley, who spent time with the Bills, Chargers, Cowboys and Jaguars, insists he had heard rumors that Acho and Taylor were supposedly sleeping together “several times, as recently as a week or two.”
He also speculated that Acho's departure from Speak (he is now co-host of 'The Facility') was because their relationship was turning 'sour'.
Taylor (along with Paul Pierce) has continued to host 'Speak' after the lawsuit was published.
Wiley (L) previously performed 'Speak For Yourself' with Acho (R) before being replaced by Taylor.
Neither Acho nor Taylor have responded to the allegations.
“Part of the reason it was suggested that they do a show together is because of the allegations in the lawsuit that they were sleeping together, conspiring to make that happen,” he said.
'Plotting with Charlie, plotting with Emmanuel Acho, “Let's make this work.” What's crazier is how they broke up…why did they go to different shows they say? The relationship went sour.
Taylor has not been taken off the air since the lawsuit was dropped, and the host appeared on television Tuesday.
