Former NFL first-round draft pick Robert Quinn was arrested in South Carolina, where police say he was caught fleeing the scene of an accident.
The retired defensive end and once-feared pass-rusher is seen in a gruesome mugshot from Charleston County, where the 34-year-old was reprimanded and released early Friday. Quinn, a former star of the St. Louis Rams and Dallas Cowboys, is photographed with bloody wounds to his forehead, nose, mouth and temple in the disturbing image.
He has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident causing property damage and reckless driving.
North Charleston police responded to a local car dealership in the early hours of Friday morning after reports of a collision involving a red truck.
The local fire department was the first to arrive and later told police that the suspect appeared to be attempting to flee the scene of the accident in another car.
When police finally arrived, they found Quinn in the passenger seat of a white Dodge Challenger. The driver then told officers that Quinn had called her to “pick him up,” according to information provided to the Dallas Fox affiliate. That woman is said to work at G-Club, a local gentlemen's club where Quinn was seen that same night.

Quinn was slurring his speech and was uncooperative with officers, according to police, who said he asked “where is my wallet” while holding it in his hand.
He even tried to avoid arrest by keeping the vehicle door closed, but was eventually pulled out and 'escorted to the ground,' according to Fox 4 Dallas.
Police say a maroon Ford F-150 registered to Quinn was on the premises and appeared to have struck the passenger side of a Honda Element, which then flew into several other cars.
Surveillance camera shows Quinn's truck driving down the road around 2 a.m. Friday before crossing an intersection and passing a median before entering the dealership.
The collision is not seen on camera, but was heard by other people, according to police.
At 2:03, police say, a single person is seen walking through the parking lot toward a nearby gas station before turning back and stumbling several times.
Shortly after, the Dodge Challenger arrives, according to police.

Quinn, a first-round draft pick out of North Carolina in 2008, played for the Rams, Dolphins, Cowboys, Bears and Eagles during a strong career that saw him earn three Pro Bowl nods.
This is not the first vehicle charge Quinn has faced.
In August 2023, he was charged in South Carolina with crashing into several cars before slapping a woman.
“He was very belligerent,” one local told WCSC at the time. 'He kept saying, 'Oh, don't worry, I'll buy you new cars, I'll buy you new cars, let's go to the dealer.'
“I told him to get off my property and he proceeded to put his hands on me and slap me not once but twice.”
He was also arrested in Missouri in 2012 on a DWI charge.
