This NFL season was one of the first for former New England Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tom Brady, when he started the first year of his transmission contract and agreed to become the owner of the team.
But while both companies are exciting and new to Brady, many fans and experts believe that their raiders' property could generate a conflict of interest with their work as a color commentator in Fox Sports.
While the NFL has established a series of rules that hinder their ability to prepare for games as a announcer, some in the world of sports media are not completely convinced that Brady's two works avoid conflict with each other.
Mike Florio, an NFL expert for NBC who has worked for the chain for decades, is one of those people.
In a recent appearance in the Podcast 'If Media with Jimmy Traina', Florio said that the fact that Fox has agreed to keep Brady after his participation was confirmed this year was amazing.
'I have been in NBC for 15 years. “In no way the NBC would give Tom Brady a microphone when he owns a part of the team,” Florio said.
Mike Florio de NBC Sports believes that Fox has not done enough to address the possible conflict of interest of Tom Brady now that he is partial owner of the Las Vegas Raiders.
Brady's participation in the team ended this year, the same year he joined the Fox Transmission team.
'They would never do it. They would say: 'Tom, you have to choose a lane'. You can't do this. ' Fox should have done that.
“What explains why, if they are willing to do it, they will simply hide it under the carpet, they will make a word salad and mark the box to handle it.”
Florio specifically pointed to another media personality, Kirk Herbstreit of ESPN, as an example.
Herbstreit has been a color commentator for the chain university football coverage for years, along with his work in the ESPN tour progress program, 'College Gameday'.
At the end of each episode of 'Gameday', the university football expert panel (usually with a guest celebrity) makes predictions on how each game will be developed. Herbstreit almost always chooses the games that will transmit later that day.
Florio questioned what would happen if the Raiders arrived at a Super Bowl during Brady's ten years in Fox and how the chain would handle it.
“Fans always look for a 'you are against my team'”. Devils, he owns ten percent of Raiders! “That is a factor in what the teams are going to look or fans will look when they try to assess how objective or not,” Florio said.
Despite these concerns, Florio said he didn't believe Fox should fire Brady. Rather, he believes that the chain should “reveal” to the audience any conflict that the 47 -year -old man has.

These conflicts could get worse a lot if Raiders suddenly improve as a team. While now they seem quite far from that possibility, ten years is a long time and if Las Vegas improves, Florio believes that the NFL could be forced to act.
“This is where the league will bitter,” Florio explained. “When they realize that Brady has the capacity to be constantly in the Pulse of the NFL constantly evolving, going to these stages, speaking with these people.
“When they see a wavy line between that and that the Raiders are no longer a team that the other teams do not have to worry, it could be when some of the owners say:” Hey, we have to stop this. “We have a perspective and a vision that the rest of us do not have. We are going to our own games, he goes to all these games, is capturing all these ideas and has made the raiders better.” That is when there would be an uprising among some owners to close this.
Brady was widely criticized for his transmission during his first season, but says he has no plans to leave it after only one year.
