  • Hear It's all starting! Jack Grealish will not be allowed to roam at Man City… will be sold this summer if things don't change

Gary Neville was forced to admit Liverpool will win the Premier League this season after former WWE champion Sheamus subjected him to a submission maneuver.

The Manchester United legend appeared on the 'It's Called Soccer' podcast alongside the Irishman and staunch Reds fan.

After playing for most of Sir Alex Ferguson's sides that dominated English football for two decades, often at the Anfield club's expense, Seamus was keen not to let his time with the former right-back pass without incident.

The 46-year-old ordered Neville to get on the ground before completing a sniper move on the Red Devils icon.

This involved lifting Neville before turning him over and applying pressure to his back.

“Just lie down on the floor,” Sheamus said before their fun began. 'I feel sorry for you…do you know how long I've waited to do this…since I was probably 12 or 14?'

'This is called Cloverleaf. Let's say Liverpool are going to win the league.

Neville replied: 'Fuck Liverpool!'

'Say Liverpool are number one! Say it Gary! Say it,” Sheamus adds, before Neville forces him.

Presenter Rebecca Lowe laughed hysterically as she watched from the sofas, with Neville screaming throughout the ordeal.

Sheamus, who joined WWE in 2009, has been one of the biggest names in the sport since he burst onto the scene, but he could leave professional wrestling this year.

He once had the perfect taunt for a Manchester crowd while WWE toured the UK in 2018. As part of a tag team with Cesaro, the pair made their customary entrance in trench coats.

However, once they got to the ring, Sheamus and Cesaro stripped down, revealing their Liverpool jerseys to the crowd. Sheamus also serenaded those in attendance with a performance of 'You'll Never Walk Alone.'
