Glenn Close's potty mouth landed her in trouble with CBS censors during the 82nd annual Golden Globes on Sunday.
It all started when the legendary actress gave a speech towards the end of last night's show before presenting the trophy for Best Film – Drama.
Close told the audience about a letter she received from the late Katherine Hepburn about the tough business of Hollywood. (Hepburn died of natural causes in 2003 at the age of 96.)
Close quoted Hepburn in the letter as saying that being an actor was a “terrible profession, this terrible profession and, let's face it, this delicious way to spend your life.”
Then Close became flustered and proudly declared: “We are all so blessed and lucky.” Many television viewers heard a pause in the live broadcast's audio to censor the profanity. But a video of Close's uncensored speech was later uploaded to YouTube.
Still, Close presented the award for best film β drama β to director Brady Corbet and the cast of βThe Brutalist.β
It seems like Close was just too excited about her big moment.
