Graham Potter has raided his former club Chelsea, poaching his trusted recruitment analyst Kyle Macaulay to join his secret team at West Ham.
Previously highlighted as a possibility by Mail Sport, the two Premier League clubs reached an agreement for Macaulay to move to London.
Official confirmation is expected to come this week. Macaulay stayed at Chelsea when Potter was sacked in April 2023, along with his goalkeeping coach Ben Roberts.
Roberts will remain at Chelsea, who see their global goalkeeping boss as key to their long-term plans.
Potter is looking to shape his West Ham squad by making his own signings. Macaulay is a close confidant in that regard as he prepares reports on potential transfer targets.

It could even get to work as early as this month, with about two weeks left in the January window.
It remains to be seen what role he will take up, with West Ham sporting director Tim Steidten facing criticism over his record when it comes to making signings.
