Graham Potter is not interested in making comparisons between him and David Moyes while the two managers prepare to face the face this afternoon.
It is easy to find parallels between the two bosses, and both were chewed and spit in the giant clubs, Chelsea and Manchester United, respectively, after obtaining a state of worship hero with an attire from the central table in rapid state.
Now, following the steps of Moyes in West Ham, Potter will be anxious to emulate the success that the Scottish enjoyed during his career Renaissance on the Hammers bench, which greatly rejuvenated Moyes' reputation in English in English football.
But although he had never lost Moyes in seven previous meetings, Potter surely respect the name of the Everton manager, hitting the attempts to compare the two due to the remarkable longevity of Moyes.
“I understand (comparisons) but it's a bit older than me and has had many more games,” Potter said.
'His longevity is really impressive, the race he has had, how long was in Everton, the Manchester United experience, going abroad, returning.

Graham Potter has moved the comparisons with the predecessor of West Ham David Moyes

Potter has acclaimed Moyes for his remarkable longevity while enjoying a second period in Everton
'He was discarded a lot, but upon returning he showed that sometimes people do not know the quality that people have. David, he is a better professional.
Like Moyes, he did it at the London Stadium, Potter will seek to demonstrate that critics are wrong in his first role since his unfortunate seven -month period as Chelsea Chief, who despite the difficult circumstances saw many cancel him as a manager after his dismissal.
Potter and Moyes represent two of the four British managers in the Premier League, but the former Brighton chief is not willing to say that British coaches have less possibilities than the names abroad.
“It's not something that really worries me,” he added. 'It is part of the game, part of society, which as soon as things go wrong, cancel you and part of the noise is to be critical.
'This is how it is in any area. But if you think of David, how long he has been in the game, I have great respect for him.
Moyes brought home the first European cutlery piece of West Ham during his time at the club, raising the European Conference League in 2023 to leave a legal legacuration.
Potter is more than aware of the shoes he has to fill, adding: 'He achieved a lot, he won an important trophy. He had a competitive team near the top of the Premier League for many seasons.
'I know how difficult that is. Everyone wants to improve, that is clear, we want to do that. But put a high bar here.

Potter does not care about the fact that the Premier League only boasts of British managers

Moyes won the European Conference League in West Ham and Potter wants to emulate that kind of success while seeking to restore his reputation as superior manager in English football.
West Ham makes the trip to Goodison Park this afternoon, with the start scheduled for the 3 PM GMT.
Both teams are level in points with 33 sitting 15 and 16 respectively, but are 16 points away from the descent zone.
