Green Bay Packers fans fear the worst as team makes shocking move ahead of playoff game against Philadelphia Eagles

Green Bay Packers fans fear the worst for quarterback Jordan Love after the team announced a new signing to its active roster ahead of the playoffs.

The Packers said Saturday afternoon that they signed quarterback Sean Clifford to the active roster ahead of Sunday afternoon's playoff game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

It comes amid a week of concern over the elbow condition that starting quarterback Love has been struggling to overcome.

“This is pretty worrying,” one fan wrote in response to the announcement on X, while another said, “Hmm… of course Love's elbow is cooked, right?”

Another concerned response simply said: “It's not what I like to see.”

But Love came off the Packers' injury report on Friday, seemingly indicating there are no concerns heading into the game.

He was injured in the regular season finale last weekend against the Chicago Bears, but returned to full practice on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Clifford has been on the Packers' practice squad all season.
