A hotel employee is accused of supplying drugs Liam Payne Shortly before his death, trapped in a soapbox in Buenos Aires, he turned himself in to the Argentine police while on the run.
Prosecutors tell TMZ 21-year-old Ezequiel David Pereyra negotiated his surrender through his lawyer on Monday evening. The police were informed, went to his house and arrested him.
He had been on the run since he was accused of supplying Liam with narcotics.
Pereyra has not entered a plea or admitted any wrongdoing and has not yet commented on the allegations against him.
Argentine newspaper The nation says Pereyra felt the heat after authorities searched his home on the outskirts of Buenos Aires with a warrant on Friday, January 3.
The publication also reports that authorities had been keeping an eye on a location where he reportedly worked, as well as several other residential addresses. All of this pressure eventually led to Pereyra surrendering.

You'll recall that TMZ obtained an exclusive video of Liam briefly entering the basement of the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, where Pereyra – who was working as a bellman – shakes his hand in what appears to be a super friendly interaction.
The video was recorded 3 hours before Liam fell from the balcony to his death from his third-floor hotel suite, with the fall related to the effects of the drugs he had taken.
