The Congolese heavyweight Martin Bakole could be forgiven for reaching his fight against Joseph Parker in a less than optimal way.
The 31 -year -old was confirmed as Daniel Dubois's replacement after the FIB heavyweight champion retired from the title with Parker only 48 hours before the event.
Bakole has a record of 21-1, with that only defeat in 2018 against Michael Hunter. He has won 16 of his fights per Knock-out to date.
Bakole is in a gigantic 6 feet 5 INS and weighed 284.4 pounds when he defeated Jared Anderson last August. However, according to a photo of him earlier this week, he could tip the balance to more than 300 pounds on Saturday night.
The promoter Eddie Hearn questioned the physical state of the heavyweight, since it is one of its weaknesses even after a complete training field.
“I didn't expect Parker to fight with Bakole,” he told The Tolching Ground. 'It could be a better fight than Dubois-Parker.

Lawrence Okolie, David Adelev and Mourad Aliev had initially been promoted as options, before Bakole was confirmed as Dubois replacement.
The revenge between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol had already been designated as the main event on a large card with Dubois vs. Parker as the chest.
