Inothewayurthinkin produced an impressive final to win the Cheltenham Gold Cup and deny Galpin des Champs a historic hat-trick.
Galpin Des Champs had seemed ready to add the victories in 2023 and 2024 after taking the last two fences of the race.
Inothewayurthinkin, mounted by Mark Walsh, broke into the final stages to claim the victory for six long.
“I'm dancing inside, it's brilliant, I can't believe it,” Walsh told ITV Sport.
'He jumped well. Paul was outside and I saw that he lacked some fences.
'But to be fair, my one has grown in the last year. Gavin is a genius to accompany him for today.
“It is also a home raised at home, which makes it very special.”
The owner JP Mcmanus added: 'It is a very exciting moment and I will treasure it.
I would like to see the race again. I don't think he welcomed everything.
Gallopin Des Champs met the end in second place, became agonizing in becoming the fifth horse to win three gold cups in a row in the 101 years of career history.
The result leaves Golden Miller, Cottage Rake, Arkle and Best Mate as the only four horses that have achieved the feat.
