Social media sleuths are convinced all is not as it seems in the clip of a Packers fan being verbally abused by an Eagles rival after accusing her fiancé of setting up the viral moment.
Philadelphia supporter Ryan Caldwell, who could be heard calling the woman in question “an ugly, dumb idiot” in a video with more than 30 million views on X, was fired from his job as a business analyst for a company focused on DEI. management consulting after being discovered on social media.
The Eagles also banned Caldwell, 45, from attending all future events at Lincoln Financial Field following his shocking tirade during their 22-10 playoff victory over the Packers on Sunday.
However, Internet sleuths believe he may be the victim of a scam after discovering shocking details about the Green Bay couple involved in the video.
Fans have discovered that the fiancé of the woman abused by Caldwell, Alexander Basara, is actually a content creator with nearly 60,000 subscribers on YouTube.
And to add to the suspicions, Basara and his other half only attended Sunday's match after he created a GoFundMe page asking for donations to help him get there, despite claiming he lives an hour from Lincoln Financial Field.

Philadelphia fan Ryan Caldwell (above) has been fired from his job over the shocking video.
The YouTuber wrote: 'If you didn't know, I was born and raised in Pennsylvania and actually 1 hour from the Eagles stadium. So I'm asking you, the fans… to send me to Philadelphia. Send me to the belly of the beast. “I have done it several times representing the Packers with pride and I am completely ready to do it again.”
He later added: “I got cursed at, had things thrown at me, and even had my first head of cheese ripped off and thrown into a fire container while I was rooting for my team in Philly. But I'm sure I'm not afraid to do it again.
Several X users are now accusing Basara of instigating the viral altercation with Caldwell to generate views on his social media channels.
One of them commented next to a photo of the couple before heading to the stadium on Sunday: “Here's the Packers content creator with his camera before the game. He got exactly what he wanted… Something that went viral. What was he planning to accomplish with this field facing camera? I'm glad they banned the Eagles fan for saying those things, but this is very suspicious.
“The guy was getting between 1 and 200 likes before the incident,” they added. 'He's getting 1,000 times that amount now, mate, for the incident. This is exactly what I wanted. I wouldn't be surprised if they were talking shit and provoked him. It seems like nonsense from the content creator. “Content creator”'.
“At first I felt bad for them, but it was a trap,” said another.
“The vulgar Eagles fan is clearly a POS, but the Packers fiancé who filmed the incident has a lot going on,” a third claimed. 'How much did he instigate this? Look at his attitude upon entering the Linc. He was wearing a body camera to record videos and content. He also has several GoFundMes to pay for his trip to Packers games, etc. “I need more information, but it seems like this guy has manipulated us.”
A fourth sentence: 'The Packers fan who filmed the movie was there via GoFundMe to “irritate rival fans in the belly of the beast.” True story. This whole thing was a scam.'
Alexander Basara, who filmed the video, created a GoFundMe page to help him access the game.
Basara is also a content creator with nearly 60,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel.
Fans are convinced that the viral feud with Caldwell was instigated by Basara and his fiancée.
Another user posted a screenshot of Basara's GoFundMe page and commented: 'Influencers do things on purpose to go viral. He knew this would happen, so he allowed his girl to be a piñata to be filmed by aggressive drunk men at a sporting event… all to go viral for clicks and likes. Read the last paragraph.'
However, Basara quickly responded to that accusation, insisting that his intention was to film a 'GameDay vlog' for his YouTube channel before capturing Caldwell's vile rant.
'Did she know that some random man would berate her without provocation?' Are you tolerating his behavior? Maybe you should try not to talk about things you have no idea about,” he responded. 'I was there and did a NORMAL GameDay vlog, just like I did in Greenbay last month. I wanted to show the NORMAL banter of Eagles fans , which 99% of the time we got. So this guy just kept going and things just got worse and worse. Way to defend a PoS for whatever your point is here…'
Several fans also jumped to his defense, with one saying, “I mean, the only way this could have been avoided is if he didn't attend the game.” And that doesn't even seem fucking normal to say. He didn't ask the guy to be a big piece of shit.
“The asshole Eagles fan is still the bad guy here,” another concluded.
In the video, Caldwell is seen yelling at the woman, who is wearing a Packers hat, from her seat in the back row.
After officials check a construction site, he is heard mocking the couple. “It's not a touchdown, so you don't wank c** in the air.”
Basara replied, “Ok, well, don't call her an idiot.” That prompted an angry response from Caldwell.
Caldwell's foul-mouthed rant took place as the Eagles cruised to a 22-10 victory over the Packers.
The 45-year-old has since been fired from his job as a business analyst amid outrage.

“She's an ugly, dumb bitch,” he snapped. 'Are you going to do something?'
basara said NBC10 Tuesday that Caldwell “was talking and talking” and that he “wanted something from us.”
“So, I turned around, because I was already sick of it at this point, and said, 'Well, maybe you should go back to the third grade then because it seems like you're the one with the bad attitude.'” It seems like all the fans who around us are the ones who have bad attitudes,” said his fiancée.
“I guess I was trying to stay calm, but I was pretty furious at the time and I was just hoping another fan would tell this guy to stop. And everyone stood there and I guess they let him call me that.
Caldwell worked for BCT Partners based in East Brunswick, New Jersey. The company boasts on their site that they “harness the power of diversity, insights and innovation to transform lives.”
The company reported the behavior caught on camera when an investigation was launched, before concluding that “they decided to part ways with the employee.”
in a statement issued on Tuesday The night before, the company condemned Caldwell's actions “without condemning the individual.”
BCT Partners said: 'This individual's conduct and language was vile, disgusting, unacceptable and horrific and has no place in our workplace or society. “That behavior is not who we are or what we represent.”
