After emerging at Slovak side Kosice, Matic joined Chelsea in 2009 during Carlo Ancelotti's reign at the club.

Since leaving Old Trafford in 2022, the former Serbia international played for Roma and Rennes before joining Lyon.

His current contract at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais will expire at the end of next season.
