I do not recognize Daniel Levy as the ogre or tyrant who is portrayed as the president he knew when he was in the Spurs.
Our first conversation came when I rejected the Spurs to join Charlton. I explained my concerns for not being able to communicate with its manager, Jacques Santini. Levy was disappointed, but he was a good listener.
I joined Spurs 18 months later, which showed that I had no grudge. And when I left (my form suffered after my father fell ill and died), he gave me a free transfer with a remaining year in my contract. For the club that did not ask for a rate, it increased my options, which was important for me given the tension I had been. It was a kind gesture.
I don't think the anti-anhip '24 years old, 16 managers, 1 trophy 'affect it.
The truth is that they have also reached four finals, including the Champions League, and ended runner -ups of the Premier League. That said, I understand the frustration of the Spurs fans: the club should not be close to the falling area of the table that goes to Brentford on Sunday.
Affecting the guilt to Levy is ridiculous. If the manager Ange Postecoglou had been more pragmatic during the spurs injury crisis, the president would not be obtaining so many criticisms.
The president of Tottenham, Daniel Levy, has been the businessman in charge of the club since 2001
Many fans have asked Levy to move on because the Spurs earn only a trophy in 24 years
Multiple 'Levy Out' banners have been seen in the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in recent years
But there is a change of change that must be made and that is for its transfer strategy. Its policy has been to buy potential, pay rates for Archie Gray (£ 40 million) and Lucas Bergvall (£ 8.5 million), hoping that they will increase.
Spurs need to spray their team with Stardust to compete at the elite level and that means breaking their salary structure to recruit world -class players who are in full swing today.
Victor Osimhen is an example. He is 26 years old and would have had an immediate impact, even on Napoli's loan. Levy would have grimaced at the salary demands, so the Nigerian striker is now borrowed in Galatasaray.
Spurs pay significant transfer rates, but that is misleading. Liverpool does not spend so much on players as Manchester United or Chelsea, but its main winners will be on par with any other premier League club. Manchester City pounced by Eintracht Egyptian striker Frankfurt, Omar Marmoush, to get them out of a hole. I bet that his salary is larger than anyone's salary in the Spurs.
Levy is not ambitious is a claim that I have heard about him, but the hiring of José Mourinho and Antonio Conte showed how much he wants to decorate the fantastic Tottenham stadium with trophies.
Instead, I would say his ambition has been out of place. Instead of pushing the boat towards a couple of established stars, it has paid too much to the medium level players. Brennan Johnson and Richarlison are two examples, neither was cheap, but none will turn your team into contenders for the title.
Paying great salaries is the secret to landing world class players. Even outside the Champions League, the Spurs have their headquarters in London and should be able to attract better players than those who have.
The last time Spurs was close to winning a trophy, reaching the Capabao Cup final in 2021, Levy dismissed Mourinho shortly before Manchester City in Wembley. It was a strange decision, and I can only think that Mourinho's outbursts had become too much for him.

The current Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou, was hired by Levy during the summer of 2023
I do not see a repetition with postecoglou. Regardless of the result in Brentford, I think Postecoglou will take Spurs to the second stage of the semifinal Carabao on Thursday in Liverpool and will stay for the final if Tottenham does.
Any grumpy that Postecoglou has had this season, has always seemed respectful to club owners and grateful for the opportunity to be a manager. The tax that I know is a reasonable man and I think he recognizes it.
While Mourinho was a king in his own eyes, Postecoglou appreciates that he is part of the club with responsibilities.
However, Spurs fans must be careful with what they want. Despite the results of this season, if Levy finds a couple of world -class players at his peak and pays them the current rate to help the youth of the club, they should be challenging in the end of the table next season. In that sense, the reports that Bayern Mathys teenager has rejected a movement of £ 50 million can be a disguised blessing.
