Pleads guilty to cocaine possession

New England Patriots safety Jabrill peppers appeared in a Massachusetts courtroom Thursday and pleaded guilty to a cocaine possession charge.
The 29-year-old, wearing a blue suit and white shirt, admitted to a judge that the powdered substance found in his wallet after his domestic violence arrest in October was the illegal drug.
The footballer was ordered to remain drug-free and stay out of trouble for the next four months after he filed his application.
According to authorities, Peppers faces three additional charges in connection with the arrest, including strangulation, assault and battery upset his girlfriend during an early morning argument on October 5th.
Police say the woman told them that Peppers hit her head against a wall and choked her during the incident. However, Peppers insists he did nothing wrong… and his lawyer claims there are videos that prove his innocence.
The trial in the case, postponed from Wednesday because of an unexpected burst water pipe at the courthouse, is scheduled to begin later Thursday…jury selection begins in minutes.
