The Sydney Swans star, Jake Lloyd, revealed that the man who fought a teenager when he allegedly tried to assault on a jetstar flight armed with a shotgun is a friend of the nearby family, and that his parents were on the flight.
The 17 -year -old was fought against the ground and allegedly unarmed against 160 passengers on Jetstar's flight to Sydney before a few minutes before takeoff from Avalon airport on the outskirts of Melbourne at 2.20 pm on Thursday.
He faced a children's court on Friday after being accused of 12 crimes, including the illegal control of an airplane, orchestrating a deception of bombs and having a firearm.
The teenager supposedly climbed through a hole in a fence at the airport before making his way to the plane.
Some 160 passengers were aboard Jetstar's plane, due to flying to Sydney, and among them were Lloyd's mother and father, who were on their way to see him play against Hawthorn at the SCG on Friday night in his 250th AFL game.
Barry Clark, a farmer and shear of Moama in southern NSW and a close friend of the Lloyd family, is seen in a video that puts the teenager in a head key while the pilot of the flight empties the content of his tool belt.

“My thoughts are with everyone on board, as it must have been a terrifying situation,” said Lloyd.
“I am grateful that my parents are fine and I can't wait to see them when they arrive at Sydney.”
Swans issued a statement on the matter on Friday.
“The Sydney Swans can confirm that player Jake Lloyd's parents were aboard Sydney's flight to Sydney when a serious security rape yesterday,” he said.
“A close friend of the family, Barry Clark, was involved in the intervention of the alleged offender.”
Lloyd, 31, has been with switches since he made his debut in the AFL with the team in 2014.
Halfback became the swan player faster to reach 150 games in August 2020.
He grew up in the Victorian city of Horsham and played for Victoria Country when he was a teenager.

No one was physically damaged in the incident at the Avalon airport, but the officers of the bomb response unit were called to help with adolescent bags as security caution.
The child was arrested and accused of taking control illegally, endangering the safe operation and threatening the safety of an aircraft, as well as dangerous goods, pump deception, possession of firearms and crimes related to traffic.
With a white shirt, the teenager faced a children's court on Friday morning flanked by custody officers.
His defense lawyer said it was the first time in custody of the 17 -year -old and a magistrate confirmed that it meant that it was vulnerable due to his age.
The teenager nodded the magistrate when he told the child that he would be stopped because he was not requesting bail.
“Obviously you are in custody at this time, the police accuse you of some crimes, you are not submitting a bail application today,” the teenager magistrate told.
He sent it to appear in the Court on March 21.
The teenager was arrested after the brief audience.
