The Tottenham star, James Maddison, has revealed that he has been in contact with New England manager, Thomas Tuchel.
Tuchel is preparing to appoint his first team in England for the next World Cup qualifiers at home to Albania and Latvia.
Maddison, who has seven caps for England, is anxious to be part of the team, but acknowledged that Tuchel has a large number of players to choose from.
“It has touched the base,” said Maddison. 'I think he was reaching many players who would be in the national team, probably a large group of players who have identified the FA.
'I am hungry to be part of that. I feel that I am in good shape, my numbers are quite good, there are not many midfielders who can overcome and overcome myself.

Maddison will hope to be named in Tuchel's first team for next month's games
After recovering from a calf problem, Maddison scored the only goal in Tottenham's 1-0 victory at home to Manchester United.
Maddison continued with an assistance when Tottenham won Ipswich 4-1.
Last summer, Maddison was appointed in England's provisional team for Eurocup 2024, but was selected for the Gareth Southgate tournament.
