Jamie Redknapp has attempted to criticize Arsenal set-piece coach Nicolas Jover after the Gunners fell behind in the Carabao Cup semi-final following a Newcastle set-piece.
The Magpies took the lead in the 37th minute of their semi-final at the Emirates, when Alexander Isak took advantage of a loose ball in the area.
Newcastle defender Sven Botman had won the initial header from a direct ball forward, before Jacob Murphy's touch was put into Isak's path for the in-form striker to finish.
Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp highlighted how despite Isak's lethal form in front of goal, the Swedish star had been marked by Arsenal midfielder Martin Odegaard.
Redknapp pointed out how Arsenal's set-piece coach Jover had received plaudits throughout the season due to the Gunners' impressive set-piece record, but suggested he should take some of the blame as a result. for Isak's goal.
“The set piece coach gets a lot of credit because he obviously doesn't do the defence,” Redknapp joked.

Redknapp questioned why Martin Odegaard was marking goalscorer Alexander Isak
“Because how can you get Odegaard to mark him, he is now the best center forward in the country, you have to say, where is he, let's mark him.” Odegaard has no interest in marking him.
“He just puts himself in a really good position – if you're doing anything, look at Alexander Isak, he's the wrong side of Odegaard.” Someone has to take responsibility.
“I know that Newcastle is an important team, but Arsenal is an important team. You can't have the best center forward in the country in so much space. For me it's nonsense.
