Jamie Redknapp got into Arsenal after the surprising defeat of Saturday at home to West Ham, saying that they have not really been able to take their opportunity this season.
The Gunners had the opportunity to close Liverpool's gap to five points, but produced a turgid exhibition in the Emirates.
Without an attack threat, Mikel Arteta's team created very little with Jarrod Bowen scoring the only goal of the game.
Speaking in Sky Sports, Redknapp said: 'I think they have been (arsenal) a difficult watch. I have never really seen that fluidity, movement, emotion for your game.
'They have bogged down with established pieces and everything is about that. And it has been a difficult watch for them, you know.
'And especially this year, where they would have felt, you know, with Manchester City fighting so much, this is our chance. They are not really taking it.

'And I know they have injuries, but you can see that it is bringing Declan's rice at the end. It was that I don't know how many minutes to go, but he is bringing it in the game.
'You can't find that rhythm in the team you want. He has his own way of playing, and is trying to do it and wants to win so much and is getting too nervous. That transmits fans. You have to try to keep calm and simply put some rhythm.
'Forget about Liverpool right now, just make sure they begin to get some rhythm, winning some games.
Did you say they had the Nottingham forest in the middle of the week? I mean, I couldn't think of a more difficult place to go right now, that's really difficult for them. They have to find a way.
'Much of this has been inflicted, I think, when I look at the arsenal. It is very easy to blame everyone else, but the actions have not been good enough so far. '
