The accusing woman Jay Z Accusations of raping her as a teenager just got the green light from a New York judge to keep her identity secret… at least for now.
In legal documents filed Thursday, Judge Analyze Torres ruled the “Jane Doe“The accuser can remain anonymous at this point in the case. In the ruling, the judge also called on Jay-Z's lawyer to Alex SpiroHe said he was combative and was trying to “expedite” the case.
Although Judge Torres granted the plaintiff's request to proceed anonymously for the time being, she noted that things could change as the case progresses and made clear that she intends to revisit the matter if and when case progresses.
The plaintiff's lawyer, Tony BuzbeeHe tells TMZ that he doesn't typically comment on such decisions but, unsurprisingly, is okay with them. He also threw shade at Spiro, saying his attempts to paint him as the villain were unsuccessful.
The verdict follows Jay-Z's lawyer Submit documents ask the court to force the plaintiff to reveal her identity – or, if she refuses, to ask the judge to dismiss the case entirely.
As we reported, the alleged victim initially filed a lawsuit Diddy in October, claiming he and an unnamed celebrity raped her at a VMAs afterparty in 2000 when she was just 13 while an unnamed woman looked on. Earlier this month, the accuser refiled the lawsuit, naming Jay-Z as the unnamed male celebrity but keeping the female star a secret.

Jay-Z has denied the claims and accused the woman and her lawyer Buzbee of trying to blackmail him to prevent his name from becoming public.
