John Bennett Ramsey has plans to meet with local police again… in hopes of convincing them to use new DNA testing technology to solve his daughter's murder.
The father of Jon Benét is expected to speak to Colorado's Boulder Police Department again in January, along with representatives from a leading DNA lab, to push for a new approach to evidence authorities collected nearly three decades ago.
John explains that there is new DNA technology that could separate mixed samples… a big problem with the DNA collected back then, he says. Ramsey hopes police will allow an independent lab to run tests on the old crime scene items. Jon Benét was killed on Christmas night 1996 and her body was found hours later after she was reported missing.
Because JonBenét's blood was mixed with the blood of an unknown man, the police were unable to find the possible killer… but with the use of new technology, they may now be able to.
Ramsey also wants police to conduct family genealogy research…which has proven highly successful in solving unsolved cases, he adds.
As you know…John Bennett has been actively giving interviews following a three-part documentary about Ramsey's murder that debuted on Netflix in late November.

He says he's trying to keep pressure on police to continue their investigation … even going so far as to confront them on TODAY a month ago.
It seems that the police are paying attention to what he says.
