Jordan Silk produced not one, but two moments of magic on Sunday as the Sixers cruised their way to a dominant eight-wicket victory against the Heat.
Silk, 32, first picked off Colin Munro, who had fired a shot wildly toward midfield as the Sixers star struggled to make up ground to catch the shot.
As the ball fell from the air, the Tasmanian batsman lunged to collect the shot in his hands, producing a sensational flick to dismiss captain Murphy for nine runs.
But it wasn't long after that he was called back into action, making an even more spectacular catch at the other end to dismiss Jimmy Peirson for 24.
Again, Silk was forced to dive to catch the ball, simply reaching under the ball, but initially thought he had not picked up the ball.
An official television match review later confirmed that the batsman had made the catch legally, and Silk celebrated with his teammates.
The win means the Sixers are now unbeaten in their opening four matches of the BBL campaign.

Silk dismissed Jimmy Peirson and grabbed the ball with his right hand before it fell to the ground.
With the Gabba packed for a rematch of last year's final, the 30,122 mostly local fans remained silent for most of the Heat's innings as the Sixers' pitchers tightened the screws to restrict the hosts. at 9-138.
The Sixers quickly made the chase with starter Josh Philippe (66th) and No. 3 Kurtis Patterson (32 of 20 deliveries) tough on the Heat pitchers, who were mostly too short.
Philippe was all class in his 17th BBL half-century and was the rock on which the run chase was built as the Sixers reached their target with the first ball of the 17th over.
Sixers captain Moisés Henriques (29th) became the fourth player in BBL history to score 3000 runs.
Left-arm spinner Ben Dwarshuis (4-32) previously continued his excellent form for the Sixers and is now the leading wicket-taker in this summer's BBL with 10 wickets.
Dwarshuis was on a hat-trick in the final when Matthew Kuhnemann returned a catch low and to his right, but the ball went through his outstretched hand.
Heat opener Tom Banton (19 off 12) bowled spinner Akeal Hosein for six in the second delivery of the match with an audacious reverse sweep, but the Sixers held the hosts to just 24 runs in the powerplay.
Brisbane captain Colin Munro is yet to reach double figures in this BBL campaign and was once again in a bad mood (9 for 17) before Silk's sensational catch.
Josh Philippe surprised with the bat, posting an unbeaten 66 to propel the Sixers to their fourth victory of the season.
It was Silk's 81st catch in the BBL, but his 82nd was from another planet when he ran and dived with all his length to catch the ball in his right hand millimeters from the grass to dismiss Peirson (24), also in the midwicket.
Nathan McSweeney (34 of 29) was the Heat's leading scorer, but he lacked support.
The victory brought the Sixers to eight points after four games, four ahead of five other teams, including the defending champion Heat, who have now lost two in a row.
The Sixers were far superior on the field where Silk set the bar high and all of his teammates raised it.
Brisbane stumbled on the field. Munro and Paul Walter stood staring at each other as the ball bounced between them as Philippe ducked a hit early in his innings.
