Manchester City are still at risk of losing Kevin De Bruyne as there has been no progress on renewing his contract, the star has revealed.
The Belgian's contract expires this summer and he is free to talk to foreign clubs about the possibility of joining them via a pre-contract agreement.
City have tied Pep Guardiola and Erling Haaland to new deals in recent weeks and are eager to secure the future of their midfield maestro, who joined in 2015.
They may have to compete with the alluring riches of Saudi Arabian clubs, who have previously shown interest in tempting De Bruyne under the guise of an incredible pay rise.
When asked for a contract update, he told reporters: “I haven't spoken to them at the moment.”
'I wanted to improve, I'm doing better, so I'm happy. We'll see, something will happen.'

Erling Haaland recently renewed his contract until 2034 and Guardiola hopes that can convince De Bruyne to stay.
Last week, Haaland renewed his contract until 2034 with a huge base salary of £500,000 a week.
Mail Sport revealed that, including weekly bonuses, the nine-and-a-half-year deal puts him closer to £1m-a-week than his current haul of £865,000-a-week.
De Bruyne added: “I don't think wherever I go I'm going to get a 10-year contract, so I don't need to stress.”
But Pep Guardiola hopes Haaland's brilliant new deal, linking up who they believe is the best striker in world football, can persuade De Bruyne to continue at the Etihad.
“Of course it can happen (for the couple to continue playing together),” he said last week.
'Kevin is in better physical condition. He knows it. He says he feels better.
“He's been fighting hard for five years and made an effort this season, playing when he wasn't at his best.
“There is no player at that age, even younger, who cannot play without problems. But some problems are more difficult to deal with than others.
De Bruyne has returned to some semblance of his best form after an injury-plagued 2023-24 season.
'Kevin has fought hard and achieved an incredible work ethic. I saw him working very well to come back and be the best. And of course, having that special quality that is unique in the world.'
De Bruyne is back to something resembling his best after an injury-marred 2023-24 campaign and recently provided a classic assist for Phil Foden against Brentford.
With captain Kyle Walker in talks with AC Milan to leave, it would be a coup for the club to persuade De Bruyne, 33, to stay when he is tempted to finish his career in the United States or Saudi Arabia.
They climbed back into the top four on Sunday with a 6-0 demolition of Ipswich Town to boost their hopes of retaining the Champions League, which is often a factor in players' decisions.
