Paul Scholes has expressed his concerns about the place of Kobbie Mainoo on the side of Ruben Amorim, suggesting that Manchester United is not sure where it is better to use the midfielder.
Mainoo emerged last season as one of the few bright lights on a sick side, winning a place on the plane to Germany with Gareth Southgate's team in England in the European championship.
His surprising ascent saw him nominated for the Golden Boy Award, delivered to the best young player of the five best leagues in Europe, and quickly became one of Old Trafford's most precious assets.
This season, however, has faced a combination of injury concerns and the usual problems associated with a manager change.
The consistency with which it ended last season has been somewhat more difficult to find this term, and Amorim has asked him to play in a variety of roles, even as a striker against Crystal Palace.
As such, Scholes said that the player seems “lost” at this time, before comparing it with the Arsenal star, Declan Rice.

“I think Mainoo is lost,” Scholes told The debate of overlap fansbrought to you Bet of heaven.
'I have talked about Declan Rice was lost before. I think Mainoo is also lost. They don't know what to do with him.
'I don't think he knows where playing in a football launch because he has been played in one of the positions number 10, has been played in both in the center of the field, which I can see probably does not adapt to him because I do not think In the best athlete.
'He is a great footballer. I think that no 10 adapts, (but) the falsity nine, never in a million years.
While mainly a deeper midfielder by trade, Amorim seems happy to experiment with Mainoo in more advanced positions.
After United's last 2-1 victory over Leicester in the fourth round of the FA Cup, he spoke with Mainoo's skills in the ball in a situation and his ability to press the ball, and how that could help in the attack .
However, a movement later would leave a hole behind him in the central match that Amorim prefers.
With a 3-4-2-1, the two play above as attacker midfielders who support the solitary striker, while the duo in the center of a four-men field center is based to cover the defense and possession of recycling , before climbing the field.

United has the emerging Toby Collyer, Manuel Ugarte, Casemiro, Mason Mount, Bruno Fernandes and Christian Eriksen currently on the team.
However, the last three are more appropriate in the field, and Casemiro is already beyond their best legendary.
Collyer has impressed in his period with the first team, although Mainoo is comfortably the best player at this time, with Ugarte the other strong option keeping the fort in the middle, although that would be a somewhat defensive unit.
United has fought for goals with only 28 of its 24 games so far, and will face other Tottenham fighters on Sunday in a game that both parties could really do with three points of the ships that sink quickly.
