Mayor of Los Angeles Karen Bass quickly glossed over the astonishing comments the LA fire chief made about her on Friday night Kristin Crowley … a major challenge to their honor.
In her first appearance since a lengthy closed-door session following Crowley's comments on Fox 11 on Friday … Mayor Bass said she and the chief had their “differences” and that they would be sorted out later – “privately.” .” She avoided the drama of the meeting.

Apparently… “differences” seems like a pretty big understatement… since KC said the city – meaning Bass – had “abandoned” its department after the mayor called for massive budget cuts – even after the chief pleaded for more than a a month ago for more money for equipment in poor condition and other combat problems.
KC is still in her role as chief… and spoke to the media after Bass and gave an update on the increasing fires. She did not directly address the comments she made the day before.
Both leaders later doubled down on their opening comments, adding that they were focused solely on firefighting as they were pressed again by reporters about the drama.
The embattled bass – as well as Governor. Gavin Newsom — has been overshadowed by a portion of the public for its response — or lack thereof — to the deadly fires that have destroyed parts of Pacific Palisades, Malibu and Altadena over the week.
A “frustrated Californian” started an online petition calling for Mayor Bass' immediate resignation… so far it has received more than 56,000 signatures.
