Chelsea midfielder Cesare Casadei has attracted inquiries from Torino, Monza, Lazio and Leicester City.

The Italian spent half a season on loan at the King Power Stadium in the second half of 2023, scoring three goals in 25 games for the team before their promotion.

He had progressed through the youth ranks at Inter Milan before joining the Blues in 2022, but has only played 17 times for the west London side.

This campaign, he has been limited to five appearances in the UEFA Conference League and just one in the EFL Cup for Enzo Maresca's resurgent side.

New Leicester manager Ruud van Nistelrooy will be keen to add some composure to his midfield ahead of what is likely to be a tense relegation encounter.

The Foxes are currently 19th after sacking Steve Cooper and have lost their last four league games.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina returned to Chelsea early from a loan at Barnsley after injuring his finger.

The 20-year-old has started in the League One side, making 14 appearances in all competitions as the Colliers progress towards the play-offs.

The American was injured in October and has had to watch from the sidelines ever since.

Slolina joined Chelsea from Chicago in 2022 and had loan spells at the MLS club as well as Belgian side KAS Eupen.
