Luigi Mangionethe accused murderer in Brian Thompson In a murder case, while vacationing in Thailand, he took time out to visit a shooting range… a decision that is now catching the eye of some of his fellow travelers.
Two German tourists who traveled extensively around Asia with Luigi in the months leading up to filming look back at their interactions with Mangione in our new TMZ Investigates documentary. “Luigi Mangione: The Mind of a Murderer.”
Luigi's traveling companion, Paul And MaxTell us that Mangione backed out of a day at the beach in Thailand to go to a shooting range instead… and later told them it was expensive. But that's not the only strange thing Luigi did when dealing with the German tourists.
Paul and Max tell us that Luigi was obsessed with a book by an Indian author Jash Dholani“Hit Reverse: New Ideas from Old Books”… so much so that Luigi bought 400 copies and flew to Mumbai to meet Dholani and give him feedback.
The book may provide clues as to why Luigi radicalized to the point of allegedly shooting a healthcare executive… but our documentary also explores Luigi's obsession with a second book about corporate greed… which was his motive for killing .
What is clear in our document… healthcare was not Luigi's point of criticism… he was more concerned with corporate greed… and he looked at it The American healthcare system as a prime example.
Our upcoming documentary also explains why Luigi didn't have any particular healthcare experience that allegedly led him to take out the CEO of UnitedHealthcare…rather, there were signs of mental illness in Luigi…which makes an interesting defense in court.
