Liverpool hit the race for the title, extending its advantage at the top of the Premier League to 11 points after a comfortable 2-0 victory over Manchester City.

The Reds went to Etihad knowing that their leadership about Arsenal would extend to two digits after the gunners suffered a 1-0 defeat by West Ham in the local territory, and properly extended their supremacy.

In a game that has long been one of the most fiercely played high quality matters in recent years, Liverpool flew to an early advantage, with Mohamed Salah and Dominik Szoboszlai in a first dominant half.

City put a more strict kind of defense in the second half, but survived a scare when the third of Curtis Jones was discarded offside, and finally could not problems with the score sheet.
