Manchester City eaves, Khadija 'Bunny' Shaw, received racist and misogynistic messages after his game against Arsenal, the club announced.
The Super League Women's Club confirmed in a statement that has informed the matter to the relevant authorities.
Shaw, a Jamaican international, had arrived as a 66-minute substitute in his 4-3 defeat against Arsenal on Sunday at the Joie Stadium.
“Manchester City was horrified to know that Khadija 'Bunny' Shaw underwent racist and misogynist abuse after Sunday's game,” reads a club statement.
'The discrimination of any kind, either in stages or online, will not be tolerated and has absolutely any place inside or outside the game.
'Bunny has decided not to share messages publicly so as not to give the oxygen of advertising to the vile individuals who sent them.

Shaw is a female record scorer of Man City who has scored 86 times since he joined in 2021
'The content has been shared with the authorities.
“It will continue an investigation, and the club offers our full support for Bunny after the unpleasant treatment he has received.”
Shaw had been making his second appearance since December, with the striker working back from an injury.
His appearance from the bank was his centenary for the club.
The 28 -year -old is the Women's record scorer of Man City, after having scored 86 goals since he joined in 2021.
Shaw was crowned as the WSL season player and Golden Boot winner in the 2023-24 campaign.
She is currently the best scorer at the WSL this season with nine goals in 11 games.
Man City is fourth on the table, two points behind Arsenal after Sunday's defeat against the Gunners.
