Manchester City's struggling stars will be forced to sleep at the club's training ground overnight ahead of their 12.30pm Boxing Day clash against Everton.
Pep Guardiola revealed that his charges will be dragged from their family homes and insisted that he hopes they accept the measure with open arms.
City have lost nine of their last 12 games, the worst run of Guardiola's managerial career, and last tasted victory on December 4 against Nottingham Forest.
Their stars spent the morning and afternoon with their loved ones, and it is not unusual for footballers to be transported later on Christmas Day.
They introduced the overnight sleeping measure in 2014, becoming the first Premier League club to do so, effectively using the 'Etihad Campus' as a hotel the night before the start of lunchtime home games. Their base has 80 rooms with sleep-enhancing wallpaper, while £150,000 was spent on mattresses and pillows.
“We train today (Tuesday), we train tomorrow (Wednesday) night, we will stay here and we will play on Boxing Day,” Guardiola said.

It is not unusual for stars to be taken to train on Christmas Day in the afternoon.
City became the first Premier League club to house its players overnight at its complex in 2014.

Everton have proven themselves of late with a 4-0 win over Wolves before drawing 0-0 with Arsenal and Chelsea.
City will be hoping to arrest an alarming loss of form that has taken them to seventh place in the Premier League and four points behind fourth-placed Forest.
They had only lost nine in their previous 106 games before this torrid 12-game run that has seen them suffer defeats so many times.
City are bottom of the Premier League form table over their last eight games, having picked up just four points, one less than next-worst Southampton, who recently sacked Russell Martin and replaced him with Ivan Juric.
At least they invited the players' wives and girlfriends to the club's Christmas party in an attempt to lift their spirits.
The likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan appeared to enjoy the occasion, with their partners posting black and white photos on Instagram.
Gundogan and his wife Sara went up to the photo booth with Silva and his wife Inés Degener Tomaz.
They are looking to improve their form after losing nine of their last 12 games, an unprecedented poor run for Guardiola.
Guardiola added: “This situation is new for all of us. It's about us, about everyone. The boys are running and trying harder than ever.
“People say we're not running, we're not fighting, it's this player, this coach, it's not about that.
'It's about a lot of small details or some big details that make us not be as good as we were. But we have another chance on Boxing Day.
“We have players coming back and at a certain point we will be better.”
