Mail Sport revealed this week that the Serie A club were expected to make a renewed approach to the Argentine winger, who has fallen out of favor at Old Trafford under new boss Ruben Amorim.
Napoli coach Antonio Conte sounded out the Argentine and his representatives about a move last week.
Chelsea, who Mail Sport revealed would like to sign Kobbie Mainoo, are in talks over whether to make their own bid for the winger. Garnacho's agents, Carlos Cambeiro and Quique de Lucas, a former Chelsea player, were at Stamford Bridge on Monday night.
Napoli are in desperate need of a left winger following the sale of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to PSG for £59m earlier this month.
Mail Sport reported last week that Man United value Garnacho at £65m. Further talks between the Italian club and the Red Devils are planned for Wednesday in Milan.

United's official line is that Garnacho is a valuable member of the squad and is not actively looking to sell now, but their resolve may be tested if Napoli or Chelsea up the ante.

In April 2023, Garnacho signed a new five-year contract with the Red Devils, but was reportedly frustrated with his place in Amorim's squad.
The Argentina international lost his place in the starting XI before the Manchester derby last month and has been on the sidelines since.
Garnacho has failed to score a goal since Amorim's arrival and has only managed three goals and one assist in the Premier League all season.
The youngster could be ready to join a leading Serie A team and in the hunt for their second top-flight title in three years. Under Conte, Napoli has returned to the top of the league and leads defending champion Inter Milan by three points just after the halfway mark.
