Ruben Amorim left Rashford out of United's squad for four games in recent weeks
Rashford's last appearance for United was on December 12 when he played 56 minutes against Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League.
He was left out of the squad for the games against Manchester City, Tottenham, Bournemouth and Wolves.
Rashford, who has spent his entire career at United, indicated he wanted a new challenge after being left out.
Speaking to journalist Henry Winter, Rashford said: “For me personally, I think I'm ready for a new challenge and the next steps.”
'When I leave there will be no hard feelings.' You're not going to get any negative comments from me about Manchester United. That's me as a person.
'If I know a situation is already bad, I'm not going to make it worse.
'I've seen other players leave in the past and I don't want to be that person. When I leave I will make a statement and it will be mine.'
These comments led Amorim to question the player's environment.
Amorim questioned Rashford's entourage after the striker said he is ready for a new challenge.
“It's a difficult situation,” Amorim said. “I understand that these players have a lot of people around them and sometimes they make decisions that are not the player's first idea. I understand that, I can separate things.
“I'm always here to help Marcus, like any other player.
'They have to do what they have to do. They chose to do the interview because it's not just about Marcus. I understand.'
Rashford, whose contract with United runs until the summer of 2028, has made 426 appearances for the club and scored 138 goals.
