Marcus Rashford's agents have reportedly held further talks with Barcelona as the Spanish giants look to sign the Man United striker in January.
Mail Sport reported earlier this month that Barca have held meetings with Rashford's entourage, and that several European clubs are tracking the fugitive striker.
Rashford admitted in December that he was “ready for a new challenge” away from Man United, sparking a fight for his signature.
It is understood that Barcelona have always been Rashford's preference, but given his £350,000-a-week salary, they would have to negotiate the financial burden of a loan deal.
The Barcelona newspaper Sport reported that further conversations have now taken place between Rashford's representatives and the Catalan club's directors, including sporting director Deco.
The talks reportedly took place in Lisbon, with Barcelona playing the Champions League in the Portuguese city on Tuesday night against Benfica.

Barcelona are reportedly hoping they can offload Eric Garcia to ease their financial constraints, while Ansu Fati could also leave to free up space for Rashford, who is seen as his replacement, to sign.
Sport reported that Rashford will look at other options should Barcelona fail to free up space in the coming days as the transfer window quickly approaches its end.
Barcelona had struggled to register Dani Olmo and his teammate Pau Víctor earlier this month due to their financial constraints, and La Liga canceled their registration.
After a long saga in which Barcelona appealed to the Higher Sports Council (CSD), the club obtained a temporary reprieve.
The CSD defends its sole decision by stating that preventing the registrations of Olmo and Víctor would cause significant damage to the players, Barcelona and even the interests of the Spanish team.
The case has generated criticism from rival Spanish clubs.

Mail Sport understands Rashford has been doing extra work with a personal fitness trainer to keep fit during his absence.
Sources say he has no problem with Amorim and is ready to give 100 per cent for the team, adding that Rashford is available to play in the Battle of Britain tie against Rangers in the Europa League at Old Trafford. on Thursday night.
