Famous Mexican singer Paquita la del Barrio Died … TMZ learned.
Her death was announced for her officer Instagram page Monday. Paquita La del Barrio, which means “Paquita from the Hood”, has long been known as a powerful figure against Machismo culture in Latin America.
The singer, who was nominated by Grammy-nominated, was notorious for songs that stood by men and opposed, such as “Rata de dos Patas”, which leads to “walking rats with two feet”.
She died in her house in Veracruz, Mexico. No cause of death was released, but Paquita has had serious health problems in recent years after being taken to the hospital in 2019 due to chest pain and then in 2022 due to lung thrombosis. She recently canceled her concert in Mexico city in January due to mobility problems with her legs.
