West Ham striker Michail Antonio has been released from hospital following the horror car accident that left him with a broken leg.

Antonio, 34, was pulled from his £260,000 Ferrari after leaving the road near Theydon Bois, Essex, in early December and required surgery.

In the accident, which happened in Epping Forest, he ended up in his passenger seat and was trapped for more than 45 minutes while firefighters tried to free him.

Later that night, West Ham confirmed that he was in a stable condition following his procedure.

The forward has already been discharged from hospital 24 days after the accident and is recovering at home. He will not play again this season.

Antonio, West Ham's all-time Premier League goalscorer, is out of contract this summer and no decision has been made on a possible extension.

However, it is believed that talks will take place in the near future.
