Mikel Arteta warns Liverpool that his Arsenal team will push them all the way in the title race, despite the Gunners trailing Arne Slot's men by nine points.

Mikel Arteta insists Arsenal will be in the title fight with Liverpool until the end and warned skeptics that no team in Premier League history has won all their games.

Arne Slot's men lead second-placed Nottingham Forest by eight points in the league standings and have a game in hand on Forest and Arsenal.

The Gunners face Brentford tomorrow knowing that a win would take the north London club to second place.

Asked how difficult it will be for Arsenal to catch up with Liverpool, Arteta said: “I don't know, and that's not up to us.” We have to continue to be like a hammer: be there every day, every day, every day. If someone wins all their games, congratulate them and move on to the next season.

“But if they don't, which hasn't happened in history, we'll be there.”

Arteta also believes there is an overall improvement in his team compared to last season as they had to deal with more injuries and games in their schedule.

But Arteta believes Arsenal can catch up to Arne Slot's men and win their first title in more than 20 years.

And he added: “What we have already shown this season is that if that had happened last season (playing the number of games we have played with 10 men, all the injuries we have had in the team), surely it would not be the position which we are in today in all competitions.

“So the team has taken another step and is adapting to the new circumstances. “Now we have another one of more games with fewer players, so let's be realistic.”
